Winter Wonderland

Trees semi‑ghostly

White snow atop the branches

Tips waving in the wind

Standing in white mounds of fluff

Backgrounded by a nearly as white sky

A bright red cardinal flies by

Wind picks up, throwing branches wildly

Snow falling onto unsuspecting walkers by

Such is a winter wonderland
